How to use Evax Care&Protect products?

Cooling care for mane and tail base

Manefluid contains provitamin B5 (dexpanthenol), urea and witch hazel extract to support and care for stressed skin. The Manefluid contains less lipids than the care cream, so dry or itchy skin without open wounds in the mane or tail can be treated optimally. It is best to part the hair and massage the mane fluid into the skin. We recommend to start using the Manefluid early, about every second day, to prevent bigger problems and to prepare the skin in time for the summer season.

When and how often do I use the Manefluid?

For the daily basic care of sensitive horse skin

Provitamin B5 (dexpanthenol) and an extra portion of urea ensure supple horse skin (and rider’s hands). It is best to use the care cream already when you do not see any skin problems yet. If the skin is dry, then the care cream is the right product. Apply directly to the skin and the skin will quickly feel better.

Treatment of eczemas with the care cream

Our insect repellent contains the same high concentration of active ingredient as products for humans. This active ingredient content has been tested in scientific studies. All other products for horses known to us contain much less active ingredient.
In addition, the contained dexpanthenol cares for the skin. It is important not to spray the mucous membranes (applies to any repellent). Here are two more tips:

• For the head, spray the insect repellent on the hand and then apply it to the face of the horse with the hand.
• If the horse is standing in the pasture with a blanket, you can also spray only the blanket.

Thorough cleaning for sensitive horse skin

When the skin is already stressed, it is even more important to use a moisturizing shampoo. Thanks to urea, the lipids washed away are immediately given back to the skin. Thanks to reduced foaming, the shampoo washes out quickly.
